Thomas J. Meals, DMD, MPH, RN

Dr. Thomas J. Meals is originally from Butler, PA.  Dr. Meals received his RN in 1994. In 1997 he graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Physiology and Neurobiology. He then continued his education and received concurrent degrees in Dentistry and a Masters of Public Health at the University of Pittsburgh in 2001.

Dr. Meals spent three years in the United States Army, completing a one year residency (Advanced Education General Dentistry).  During the remainder of his military service he was assigned with the 7th Special Forces Group at Ft. Bragg, NC.  Dr. Meals has been in private practice since 2004. In 2010, Dr. Meals began the transition to take over Dr. Andrew Townsend’s office that had been established for over 35 years.  Dr. Townsend pursued and accomplished his goal of working for the Indian Health Services and relocated.

Dr. Meals believes in comprehensive dentistry making it convenient for each patient to have their needs cared for by one dentist. He is skilled in conscious sedation (dentistry while you sleep), dentures, extractions, and esthetic cases. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and studying American History.
